Belgium Status

Postby Vampyre » Mon Mar 21, 2011 4:52 pm

Hi there,

A month ago, someone asked me about the belgium situation...

I have a tracing program on my mac, which I've been running since january 18th, and this is becoming really interesting with time... So, just for the fun to answer the question another way, I've took two screenies from my program to show you the status in Belgium (Brussels)

I'll make a short translation behind each screenie to let you guy understand...

For the first one (Capture d'écran 2011-03-21 à 17.42.42.png), this is a screenie about the local weather. I translate the titles, with the percentages, so you can easily find out :

- Giboulées 31.7% : don't know the english name for it : it's when the weather change from sunny to rain to snow to thunderstorm to mist and back to sunny... (gusty ?)
- Nuageux : 33.3% : cloudy
- Pluie verglaçante : 1.6% : freezing rain
- Verglaçant 3.2% : freezing
- Triste 6.3% : Sad
- Ensoleillé 23.8% : sunny

All in all, we can see three major situation in Belgium : (gusty ?) weather, cloudy and sunny... Not that bad, I would have expected worse weather for belgium.

For the second screenie :
Capture d’écran 2011-03-21 à 17.42.56.png
Capture d’écran 2011-03-21 à 17.42.56.png (199.01 KiB) Viewed 3679 times

Nothing really needed to translate : this is only the local temperatures... And this one is really typical from belgium : it can go high, and low, and in a very short amount of time...

Next update in three months to see the cumulated six first month of the year :p

Have fun !

Hehe, weather. Are you interested in global warming or what?

No, not at all, even if I know all the subtleties and variables in the global warming... No, all that interest me is to keep track of the weather and temperatures... It's just funny to see people saying it's always rainy in Belgium, while the graphics just show that it was sunny 1/3 of the time... Just funny facts :p

That's quite interesting., I would be interested in knowing how that changes in time, has most people complain that their weather is no longer as it use to be when they were kids.
Altough, I don't believe you will be running that thing in 10 years, so it will be hard to make a conclusion out of it

Yeap that's right :-) I will have it at least until the next 2 or 3 years, so it might come interesting anyway :-)
