Just saw it. Tbf, first Nexus was not my cup of tea, it did not feel much like RTS, more like action RPG. So i am not overly excited about this announcement, although it might change, the game can shift more toward classic RTS and we will see then.
I cannot say one bad thing about that trailer, it looks fantastic. Personally i would like to see similar Gemini Wars video, no media was so far jawdropping as this, despite GW having quite good graphics itself.

I saw it too, hehe
I'm not a big fan of Nexus either, I felt it quite boring actually, but it's a space game.
I'm wondering if this is real game footage., as it says "concept video", but either way it's a great trailer.

I believe its actually techdemo for their engine, so the game could on highest settings look like this. IMHO It looks so good cause of those higher-poly ships partially, but they can have them, as its not about massive space battles with hundred of ships, the first game surely was not. Anyway, i think X3 game looked at least as good as this already few years back.

Tell Boris to check their explosions please, this is how it supposed to look like  The final explosion was bit over the top though :D

BTW when can we expect some GamesCom related goodies about Gemini Wars? Keep in mind these old sayings: "what can you do today, dont leave for tomorrow" and "the more the merrier" please :geek:

Yes, I remember the first Nexus, you did not control many ships no, but well as you said this is not an rts, they can pump the polycount up as much as they want.
We know about the explosions, relax , we haven't touched them yet.
About GamesCom, GW is gonna be showcased there by our publisher, but I doubt a niche game will show in the media at this time.

It is a sad day when space strategy games are known as niche games.

This looks kind of childish, but can't say yet  , It needs to be a joint announcement.

yeah well Nexus is not a classic RTS so it could be boring at some point
but i like the level of customization you can do to your ships. Not even X3 can do that

any1 here tried Earth 2150 series?
that kind of customization is just overwhelming and these 'RPG elements' can make a game feels more more immersive

shooters are always the best selling games... haha its a mystery why people prefer to die in the field than to command
