What am I missing with mission 6 to make it possible? I've tried every combination of techs and early builds I can think of and I can't survive the mission. Best case I've had is clearing the first wave and fighting a steadily losing battle until the AI comes up with its full strength second wave. I can't figure out how it's possible to maintain enough of a fleet from the first wave to survive the second, or to even have enough to rush the military base after the first wave. About the only thing I haven't tried is rushing to drive technology to get the extra range and abandoning the starting half of the map.

Nevermind, hit on the idea of not making any new ships and using heavy turrets initially in the first asteriod system, then it was just a matter of constantly replacing my light turrets for 15 minutes straight as I tech'd up to the increase unit cap tech and it was all downhill from there.

the 2nd half of this mission is too long, should cut it down to just the first set of planets.
